Atomised is a web agency with a difference. We're a worker's co-operative, which means that everyone who works here owns an equal share in the company. We're not a reseller or a middle-man, and our clients don't have to wade through layers of sales teams and managers. They deal directly with Neil, AL & Morgan: the team of developers who work on perfecting their websites & applications.
As an ethical co-operative we are committed to customer care and in working transparently, fully sharing our expertise and insight with our clients in an open and hands-on manner. We take our environmental responsibilities seriously as well and do all we can to minimise the impact of our business, and our clients, on the planet.
Our trio are a well-rounded team of web experts with core expertise in hand-crafted interface design, web & mobile application development, brand audit & redesign, content management, online strategy, information architecture, accessibility & usability, email & web marketing and search engine optimization (SEO).
If we said that Neil's childhood movie inspirations were WarGames and Star Wars (the good ones), you'd start to form an idea of who he is. Far from being a lightsaber wielding computer hacker though, Neil actually turned out okay. When he's not spending too many hours working, gaming or ranting about some obscure technology, he's spending time with his wife and wee boy. An unashamed Apple fan, Neil hacks his code using TextMate and thinks that IE Death March is long overdue.

Only in retrospect does AL's childhood passion for drawing only with a ruler and pencil (never freehand), love for Teletext and recreating the Channel 4 'Coloured Blocks' animation in Deluxe Paint on The Amiga make sense. He was anticipating the web before the web was a twinkling object in Tim Berners Lee's NeXT. It was fortunate in fact that the web did come along because where else would such obscure combinations of skills be useful? One thing is clear: AL has the grids, the imagination & the vertical rhythm.

Morgan’s route to atomised was different. He wasn’t into gaming or graphics, but football and hanging about with mates. Then in 2000 came the acceptance he was not going to be like Ralph Milne, and Magnum Opus would never get the break that led to him Bez-ing his way round the world. He undertook an MSc in Information Systems and has been working with, and loving, all things web and database since! When he has enough money, he’s going to buy a MAC. Then his turn to the darkside will be complete.
