The Project
Jiggered are a four-piece Scottish Ceilidh band, formed in 2002, while its founder members were studying at Strathclyde University.
The band already had accounts on sites such as Bebo, YouTube and Flick where their gigs and music could be seen and heard,? but approached us looking for their own unique web presence that could bring all these things together.
The site was built using the Symphony 2 CMS, which we selected for its ability to bring in external XML feeds, and was designed around a newspaper theme. We are really pleased (so are the band!) with some of the sites features, including the 'iphone' media player (utilising the shadowbox jquery plugin), the crossword styled contact form and the original cartoon by artist Craig Rennie.
